Sometimes you toil in the minors for years never realizing the dream of hitting the big league and that’s ok. When you do what you love and get paid for it, what could be better? Your work truly exists for the love of the game and if you’re in it for riches you are bound to be disappointed. That said…. Hot Damn!
SP has not been around very long, you know. We launched last fall with a tight little capsule called Classic Collection and we had a nice season in the minors. Then SPring came and our season progressed (insert a baseball metaphor/analogy here. SP is a football fan). And then came Nick Ciuffo. Young Mr. Ciuffo — a Charleston native who just graduated from Lexington High School, South Carolina — wandered into SP Founding Father Craig Reagin in Lexington. Owner Jeremy Addy suggested he wear SP Alpha and boom! We are going to the show. Dapper Nick went 21st overall to Tampa Bay in the MLB draft.
Seriously though, congratulations to Nick Ciuffo and his extraordinary accomplishment on the field of dreams. Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays for making a fine selection and gaining a new fan in SP. And thank you Craig Reagin for taking SP along for the ride.
And remember, no matter where you go or what you do, Dress Up! Style matters.
